Join us for an evening with Mx. Yaffa!
Mx. Yaffa (they/she) is a trans, disabled, indigenous Palestinian artist, activist, and consultant who has received multiple awards for their transformative work around displacement, decolonization, and social justice. Her publications include poetry, essays, and other non-fiction works that focus on building utopia, hope, love, spirituality, and belonging.
Executive Director of Muslim Alliance for Sexual and Gender Diversity (MASGD), as well as founder of several non-profits and community projects, Mx. Yaffa is also an engineer, death and birthing doula, and peer support specialist.
The evening will be moderated by Jara Nassar, a queer German Lebanese writer, performer, poet, and activist. Yaffa will read texts and poems from their body of work and talk to Jara about queerness, identity, writing, and how art can serve as a tool for justice and liberation.
